Located on the Bulga Plateau of Elands, on hours drive Northwest of Taree on Tourist Drive 8, Ellenborough Falls are a spectacular site. At 200 meters, it is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere.

A timbered walkway (641) steps to the bottom of the falls with rest spots on the way provides a comfortable 30-minute walk. there is also a 10-minute walk to The Knoll where there are magnificent views looking directly across to the falls.

Wood Barbecues, picnic tables, and toilet facilities are available (disabled access also)

The Lower Falls Walk also begins at the car park, leading away to the right of the walk that leads to the viewing platform that views the Ellenborough Falls from the side. This walk is a 400m walk that includes 641 steps, that take you to the base of the Ellenborough Falls, providing two viewing opportunities at the base of the falls. The walk down will take about 15 minutes or perhaps a little more, but the walk back up may very well take twice that time as it is a steep climb back up from the base of the falls. There are a number of seats along the way which will provide welcome relief to most walkers.

The Knoll Outlook

The Knoll Outlook walk continue past the turn off to the Lower Falls and is a 700m walk in total. The walk is relatively easy and works its way around the escarpment to a viewing platform directly in front of Ellenborough Falls and
